In conjunction with a high profile network provider, EMC and For-A, Media Links will also be demonstrating ‘live to file’ ingest of uncompressed HD-SDI video encapsulated with SMPTE 2022. SMPTE 2022 is a standard way to encapsulate high performance video signals for transport over IP networks. The ‘live to file’ capture application sets the stage for improved workflow efficiencies. A live to file workflow offers immediate record and playout functionality, and delivers content directly to the studio in a format suitable for immediate editing.
