Participates in the IP Pavilion
Media Links, manufacturer and pioneer in Media over IP transport technology will be exhibiting at InterBEE2022 in Hall 8, stand 8314 from November 16-18. The online exhibition will be held concurrently to the in-person event.
Media Links will demonstrate 4K and HD IP transmission using its industry acclaimed ultra-low latency JPEG XS compression transmission technology. The company will also showcase its Precision Time Protocol (PTP) IP-based single-frequency network (SFN) solution.
In addition, Media Links will participate in the IP Pavilion, located in Hall 8. The IP Pavilion will offer an introduction to the basics of Media over IP and will highlight several real-world operational examples of IP in the broadcast environment. Media Links will demonstrate interoperability of its MDP3020 JPEG XS IP Media Gateway with other vendor equipment, highlighting the ST2110 IP broadcast and telecommunication service provider network standard. During this IP seminar, Media Links will introduce its recent Remote Editing Service project, which it participated in with NTT Business Solutions and FOR-A, as well as four broadcasters and several production companies.
Ultra-low latency JPEG-XS IP transmission solution:
On stand 8314, Media Links will demonstrate an ultra-low latency compressed IP transmission application with its MDP3020 JPEG-XS 4K IP gateway, the newest addition to the MDP series. Various compression method comparisons will be shown, allowing visitors to witness the features of high video compression ratios (approximately 1/10) and ultra-low latency processing (3 ms or less).
IP SFN (Single-frequency network):
Media Links will also highlight its MDP3020 PTP IP-based SFN solution, showcasing improved stability and cost efficiency compared to conventional time synchronization networks using GPS receivers. Single Frequency Networks enable transmission cost savings by reducing the amount of television spectrum that broadcast networks use for their services. This exhibit will include measurements of PCR jitter suppression and frequency stabilization features, providing visitors with a demonstration of the benefits of IP SFN solutions.
