Kawasaki, Japan – November 6, 2025: Media Links Co., Ltd, a global leader in media-over-IP transport technology, will exhibit at InterBEE 2025 – the International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition, held at Makuhari Messe in Japan, from Wednesday, November 19 to Friday, November 21, 2025 (Video Production/Broadcast Equipment Division, Hall 4, Booth 4207).
At this year’s show, Media Links will debut the new Xscend 1RU model in Japan for the first time, the latest addition to the next-generation Xscend® IP Gateway series. Designed for operations that prioritize compact size, lower channel counts, and cost efficiency, the 1RU model joins the existing 2RU version to deliver the same high reliability and flexibility in a smaller footprint.
In addition, Media Links will announce the implementation of a “Dual Sender Hitless” function, which enables multiple inputs for seamless switching based on the ST 2022-7 standard. This reduces the risk of broadcast interruptions caused by single-point failures. The company will also share its future roadmap, including support for HEVC/AVC (H.265/H.264) high-efficiency codecs and SRT/RIST streaming protocols to ensure stable transmission even under challenging network conditions. These updates further enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of IP-based media contribution and distribution workflows, providing optimal solutions for today’s evolving broadcast and streaming environments.
Media Links will showcase the following applications:
- Network Solutions Using the Next-Generation Xscend® IP Gateway
As broadcasting systems continue to move toward IP and cloud-based infrastructures, Media Links will showcase flexible network solutions built around its next-generation Xscend IP Gateway. Leveraging the advantages of software-defined architecture, Xscend enables easy system configuration and functional updates across a wide range of operating environments—from IP transmissions between affiliate stations to cloud-based workflows. The newly introduced compact and reliable 1RU Xscend model adds operational efficiency and cost optimization, delivering the reliability, flexibility, and scalability required for next-generation broadcast infrastructures. - STL/TTL over IP Solutions Using the MDP3020 SFN
This solution enables the IP-based transmission of broadcast transport streams (TS) and PTP (Precision Time Protocol) synchronization signals from a broadcast station to a transmission site, regardless of whether PTP is supported on the network. By achieving time synchronization between the broadcast station and the transmitter over IP, this system makes it possible to build IP-based STL (Studio-to-Transmitter Link) Single Frequency Networks (SFN). The booth will also present use cases and test results from the past year demonstrating long-distance TS and PTP transmission over public internet connections, showcasing the latest advancements in IP-based broadcast transport technologies. - Compact IP Codec MDP3020
This compact, cost-effective half-1RU IP codec in the MDP3020 incorporates Media Links’ advanced transmission technology developed originally for the MD8000 series. It supports uncompressed transmission, data transport, and compressed formats such as JPEG-XS and JPEG2000, as well as 4K video transmission, meeting a wide range of contribution needs. The exhibit will also feature the latest configuration-enhanced version, which expands input/output capabilities in response to customer feedback. - ProMD EMS (Network Management System)
ProMD EMS features a GUI optimized for media transport, allowing operators to easily monitor network status and transmission routes. At the booth, Media Links will demonstrate how the system simplifies setup and management of device configurations and delivery paths according to each service.
