Participates in IP Pavilion Promoting Shift to IP in Broadcast
Kawasaki, Japan – October 30, 2023:
Media Links, manufacturer and pioneer in Media over IP transport technology, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will be exhibiting its full solution-set at the upcoming Inter BEE 2023 event in Tokyo, Japan in hall 6 on booth 6302.
The company will highlight its new Xscend, a reconfigurable IP media migration gateway, which transports high-quality media and data services across both managed and unmanaged (open internet) networks.
Media Links will also showcase a Studio to Transmitter Link (STL) application using its MDP3020 series of compact IP media gateways with Single Frequency Network (SFN) configuration. This application will showcase the transport of DVB-ASI video signals and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) over IP networks with transmission-grade quality and extremely low delays from studio-side infrastructure to a Single Frequency Network. It enables IP-based time synchronization between broadcasting stations and transmitting stations.
In addition, Media Links will be a key participant in the popular IP pavilion (Hall 3) at Inter BEE, which aims to promote the shift to IP in broadcast. Using its new Xscend IP Media Gateway, the company will showcase content transport over an IP network in a production environment supporting ST 2110. It will also highlight the delivery of content over IP on an ST 2022 IP transport telecom carrier network.
Media Links will also exhibit ProMD EMS 2.0, the company’s software tool for managing and controlling network resources. This network management tool provides a quick and clear tool for service and performance monitoring and provisioning new services quickly and effectively.
