Media Links, manufacturer and pioneer in Media over IP transport technology, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, announces that Nexion Corporation has adopted its MDP3020 JPEG-XS 4K IP media gateways.
Nexion will use the IP media gateways as its content transport technology for the high-quality delivery and live transmission of sporting events, music concerts, conferences, and other events to broadcasters and media companies throughout Japan. Its domestic and international backbone fiber networks connect dozens of broadcasters, production companies, and media organizations to major event venues.
The MDP3020 JPEG-XS 4K IP media gateways were chosen for their exceptional image quality, low latency, fault tolerance, and overall investment efficiencies. The MDP3020 IP gateways use JPEG-XS for high image compression and ultra-low latency processing making it ideal for network edge services to deliver live video and data to broadcasters and viewers. It is a highly scalable, flexible IP media distribution system delivering visually lossless 4K video.
